Arrival & Getting There
- The Meet & Greet: Please call or text us 30 minutes before you arrive. Text again once you are in the driveway.
- The House: Look for the olive green house with the wrap-around deck.
- Parking: Park as far to the left of the driveway as possible. Only one car is permitted per camp spot.
- Self Check-In: When you text us 30 minutes prior, we will let you know if it is a Self Check-In. Enter through the black gate; ensure it is closed behind you to keep the farm animals in.
- Follow the Goose Protocol: If Ryan Gosling is protective, text us and we will walk you up. Never be aggressive toward the geese.
- The Path: Walk down the left side of the backyard, past the Tipi and the Lounge.
- The Forest Entrance: Stand before the two lions at the trailhead. You can perform the “Honoring the Spirit of the Forest” ritual. Walk in and ring the chimes.
- Finding Dos Hermanos: This is the most private sanctuary at Inntirety. Follow its own exclusive trail that leads you deep to the very edge of the forest. You will know you have arrived when you see the cabin tucked between two towering trees we call “The Brothers.”
Operational Guide for Your Stay
- The View & Ventilation: There are three windows that fully open, allowing you to fall asleep to the sounds of the birds and local wildlife.
- The Vibe: This is a Firebird’s Nest—a sultry, boho-eclectic sanctuary that feels like a well-kept fairytale secret. The space is a deep-forest sultry dream, draped in rich jewel tones and mysterious shadows. It is designed to feel like the glowing heart of the woods: warm, layered, and profoundly cozy.
- Climate Control: To keep you comfortable while respecting the land, we provide a Vornado fan for constant air circulation. A small AC unit is available only for days of extreme heat, as we prioritize energy conservation. (coming soon)
- Power & Lights: This cabin features electricity, but we encourage an off-grid mindset. Please be intentional with your energy use.
- Coffee & Tea: Inside, you will find a French press along with a selection of coffee and tea for your morning ritual.
- Heating/Cooking: Just off the private deck, you have a cast iron chiminea with two chairs. Always ask if burning conditions are okay before starting a fire.
- Bug Control: Since this structure does have a smoke detector, you may burn incense inside to set the mood—just open a window and please be exceptionally careful with open embers.
- Relaxation: Enjoy the outdoor living space featuring a small deck, a small hammock, a couple of wooden chairs on the deck for morning tea, coffee, or bird watching! If you feel like it, give a big ole howl at the moon. 🙂
Dos Hermanos House Rules
- Shoes: Taking off shoes is a must. The cabin features a Persian-style hand-woven rug that is incredibly soft and silky; we ask that you protect it by leaving footwear at the door.
- Food: Strictly no food left out to keep the sanctuary clean and critter-free.
- Mamma Kitty: No mamma kitty in the house.
- Check-Out: 1. Bring all trash up to the bins in the driveway. 2. Turn off the AC, fan, and all lights. 3. Ensure the chiminea is fully extinguished.
The Story of Dos Hermanos
- The Spirit of the Great Flight: This cabin is named Dos Hermanos (Two Brothers) in honor of the spirit found in the story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. In the story, Jonathan and his brother-in-spirit, Fletcher, realize that life is more than just fighting for scraps on the shore. They choose the path of the “Great Flight”—the difficult, beautiful work of mastering themselves and finding true freedom.
- The Transformation: What you see today as a sultry, mysterious retreat was originally a rugged job site trailer. We remodeled this 170-square-foot space, stripping away its utilitarian past to create an alchemist’s refuge. It is proof that a place of labor can be transformed into a place of profound rest.
- The Space: We call this the “Cozy Cabin,” but it is truly a sanctuary for the “Brother Seagulls” of the world. It is a place for those who have traveled far, pushed their limits, and now need a quiet hearth to rest their wings. Whether you are here with a brother, a partner, or on a solitary flight of your own, this cabin is your space to stop reaching and simply be. Featuring a queen-sized memory foam bed, it is designed to hold you in complete comfort as you land.
