Clothing & Privacy Policy
Your Body, Your Sanctuary
At Inntirety, we believe in radical comfort and the freedom to connect with nature on your own terms. Whether you are using the Barrel Sauna or the Outdoor Shower, the choice of attire is entirely up to you.
- Your Choice: You are welcome to wear swimwear, or if you prefer, you may go naked to fully experience the heat and the elements.
- Privacy First: For your comfort, we have installed a privacy curtain at the sauna/shower area. Simply draw the curtain to create your own secluded, private space within the forest.
- Footwear: We recommend wearing sandals or slip-ons to and from the area, but please leave them outside the sauna to keep the cedar benches clean.
- Towels: If you choose to go “sky-clad,” please ensure you sit on your towel while inside the sauna to protect the wood and maintain hygiene.
- How to Start the Heat:
- Timer: Turn the left knob (under the heater) halfway to the right.
- Temperature: Turn the right knob slowly to the right until you hear a click.
- Note: If you hear a “clunk,” you’ve gone too far. Turn it all the way left and restart slowly.
- Warm-up: Wait 10–15 minutes for the unit to reach temperature.
- Creating Steam:
- Only add water once the heating elements are glowing red.
- Use 1–2 ladles every 5–7 minutes. Do not oversaturate the rocks.
- Closing Up:
- Turn both knobs all the way to the left.
- Use the provided spray to wipe down the seats and floor.
- Secure the Door: Lift up on the doorknob while pushing to ensure a tight seal.
Sauna Safety Guidelines
Please read these guidelines thoroughly before beginning your session to ensure a safe and restorative experience.
Health & Wellness
- Consult Your Doctor: If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, low or high blood pressure, or any other medical condition, please consult a physician before using the sauna.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your session.
- Listen to Your Body: Do not exceed 15–20 minutes at a time. If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or lightheaded, exit the sauna immediately and cool down in the fresh air.
- No Alcohol: As we are an alcohol-free healing center, use of the sauna while under the influence is strictly prohibited. Alcohol increases the risk of dehydration and fainting in high heat.
